Soorma Bollywood biography film based on the life of Sandeep Singh, the film is directed by Shad Ali. Diljeet Dosanjh and Tapasi Pannu will be seen in the lead role in the film Surma produced by Sony Pictures Network India, CS Films. Diljeet Dosanjh is in the role of hockey player Sandeep Singh in the film. The movie has been released in theaters on July 13, 2018.

In this movie Fighting against all odds, and then Sandeep got back on his feet and build a comeback again for a international hockey in 2008. After sometimes India won the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup with great impact that’s why he will capable to qualify for the 2012 Olympics.

Review of Surma: The story of Surma begins with the shahabad of 1994, which was considered the capital of the country’s hockey. This is a small town, where most people have the same dream that they become part of the Indian hockey team. Almost all children, whether a girl or a boy, are involved in the race to get this dream.
Young Sandeep Singh (Diljeet Dosanjh) is also one of those people, but due to the strong coach, his courage is answered and he shakes away from hockey. Honey is missing from his life till Teenage, but then in his life there is the entry of Harpreet (Tapi Pannu), which makes Sandeep fall in love. Harpreet again makes sense for hockey in Sandeep and inspires him to keep moving forward and to improve himself. This again becomes the purpose of life for Sandeep to become a hockey player.
Author-director Shad Ali has shown the story of Sandeep Singh becoming a hockey player in the first half of the film, however, he did not let the story become cumbersome by adding romance to the small moments of the town and lead pair. Before the interval, the story takes a turn on Sirius, which makes you emotional. Diljeet’s acting was praised in ‘Flyta Punjab’, but he has acted like ‘Surma’ is the best.
He sees every part of his character and laughs live and live. His hockey skills in the film look good, but the way he understood his character and went on the screen, he is most impressed.
Tapi Pannu has always shown her best in acting, but her character slows the film’s track. As a supporting cast, Angad Bedi, who played the elder brother of Diljeet, has been seen performing brilliantly. He has shown his character on a beautiful screen. The acting of Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Satish Kaushik is also good. There are many songs in the film, but no one can sing the song.
Captain of the National Hockey team, Arjuna Award winner and a man who was shot by mistake and still returned, there are many advantages of taking the story as a biopic on screen. However, the manner in which Shad Ali has shown the story shows the necessary drama and solid subject missions for cinema. There are many scenes related to the hockey game in the film but none of these makes you feel thrilled.
