After the super hit movie Gully Boy, Indian actor Ranveer Singh and actress Alia Bhatt are going to share the screen once again in an upcoming romantic film.
The Bollywood stars are one of the most dynamic and coolest pairs in the Hindi cinema. Although they have only starred in one movie together, their many TV and print commercials had let fans gush out and cheer on their pair on the big screen. Their chemistry in Gully Boy was incredible and it’s going to be great to see them together again.
Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt would pair up for a love story by Dharma Productions. In addition, Director Karan Johar would come back to the chair of the director again with this romantic movie. It will be a reunion for Alia Bhatt as KJo had directed her first movie Student of The Year released in 2012. Karan Johar has always been Alia’s mentor but he would be directing Ranveer Singh for the first time.
The last romantic film directed by Karan Johar was ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ (released on October 26, 2016), featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Fawad Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Imran Abbas Naqvi, Lisa Haydon among others. After directing this romantic drama, Karan Johar directed segments in Netflix original Lust Stories in 2018 and Ghost Stories in 2020.
At the same time, another upcoming movie Takht directed by Karan Johar is put on hold. Along with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the cast of the film includes Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
In regards to the star’s upcoming movies, both actors have a list of films for the release. Ranveer Singh has an action thriller ‘Sooryavanshi’ directed by Rohit Shetty for the release in which he would resume his role of Simmba. He has sports drama film ’83’ directed by Kabir Khan for the release this year. Currently, he is shooting for ‘Cirkus’ which is being directed by Rohit Shetty.
On the other hand, Alia Bhatt has ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘RRR’ up for the release in the next months. She is currently busy with the shooting of Gangubai Kathiawadi which is being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
