This week is same as last week, Maharstrian touch movie, Daddy of Arjun Rampal is clashed with the North effect movie of Deol Brothers, POSTER BOYS. But Deol brothers have done the good score on box office, to compare of Arjun Rampal. Whole cine industry says that, both movies are on track of area distribution. As DADDY is based on Mumbai’s gangster, Arun Gawli, it will run fast in state of Maharashtra. And Deol brothers are more popular in North India area, so Poster Boys will run hit in the North side. Truly, it is going on same theory, but progress is very slow.
As on today, DADDY is enjoying more appreciation, good ratings and excellent reviews, but five days collection cross only 6.05 Crores , which is very less. Those, who have tuned in late, DADDY serves a refresher course on the life and times of the gangs of Mumbai which are not famous. As a result, few ear piercing emotional outbursts, but also few moments of dread. Once a time, our eyes get adjusted to the drab chawls and dimly-lit gullies, where the gang operate like the ghost chased by just one greedy and over ambitious cop, we must assume that we are watching a episode of Crime Patrol. In this movie, it is absolute opposite side, second half is Gawli’s family life and political life & first half is a story of growth, as a DON in Mumbai. DADDY, which is helmed by Ashim Ahluwalia, will have Arjun essaying a real life character on screen for the first time, and as per the first time of work, it is so good performing work. Total budget of this film is 15 Crores with publicity. Over all review is between 3 and 3.5. Budget and income part would not be a problem for this movie, as Mumbai and Maharashtra both are nearby lover of DADDY.
As we discussed, Poster Boys will be more loving for North Indians, as Deol brothers are most popular in North and second, this movie is fully based on North Indian Village only. For this film, best part of Director is that, he has not tried anywhere to make his characters look, so hard. Film is having a comedy part, but it is not followed by Bollywood comedy. Dramatically and lightly, director has given the awareness of Nasbandi and population problem of India, by this movie. Budget of this movie is 25 Crores with publicity part and as on 12th, movie has crossed 9.40 Crores. As Deol brothers are hot favorite in Northern part of India, budget would not be problem, it is overall saying of filmy predictor. All four songs of this movie are fully Punjabi based. This movie is remake of Marathi hit film, Poshter Boyz, which has done fantastic box office growth in 2014. Shreyas Talpade, the director of this movie has also played a best role of Arjun Singh. Same, the overall review is coming between 3 and 3.75.
So, the over week for filmy lovers is not so good, but not also bad. But for Bollywood box office part, it is not a reasonable income part, as on today. As on today, DEOL brothers are hitting to DADDY.
