In the film, Dhiraj Kumar of Debutant Director, Sharman’s character is Kashi, which works to burn dead bodies in DOM i.e. cremation ground. Sharman is playing such a character for the first time on the big screen. Earlier, in ‘Masan’, Vicky skill was seen in such a character, whose story was based on Kashi’s background.
Kashi – In Search of Ganges is a romantic thriller film. Aishwarya Diwan is starting her career in Bollywood with this film. Aishwarya’s character is named Devina, which is a hyperophone journalist. There is a twist in the story of the film, when Kashi’s sister Ganga gets lost and Kashi goes on a mission to find her with Devina. The title of the film also came from the same twist of the story.
Kashi – In Search of Ganga ‘is written by Manish Kishore and he is also co-producer of the film. The film is being released on September 21. The film was shot in Mumbai and Mussoorie except for Varanasi. In addition to Sharman, in the film, Manoj Joshi, Manoj Pahwa, Akhilendra Mishra and Govind Namdev will be seen in key characters. The film’s teaser and trailer is expected to come in August.
This will be Sharman’s second release in 2018. Before that, he had appeared in 3 stories, which Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani produced, while Arun Mukherjee directed it.
