GOLD movie is a Bollywood film, which is inspire by India winning its first gold medal as a free country at the 1948 Olympics in Britain.
In this film, Tapan Das (Akshay Kumar) basically, a drunk Indian Hockey Team Manager, determine to playing hockey as a free country, coaching a learning hockey team to earn independent India’s first Olympic gold medal at the 1948 Summer Olympics during battling his own personal demons and the independence era situations.

STORY
First of all gold movie begin in 1936 in Berlin. At that time akshay kumar is not a hockey star of this film but after sometimes when the boy of British hockey team win the match for British India in the film and stand on the and take their medal, one side is the flag of the flag of your country. After that Tapan Das hold a promise from himself – winning gold medal for Azad India. Basically, Tapan Das, manager of British India’s hockey team. As well as the same dream is seen with two more players of the team – the star of the match, and the captain of the team – Emperor (Kunal Kapoor) and Imtiaz (Vineet Singh).
It is real fact that After World War second, the possibilities of the Olympics decrease at that time and India are more closer to get freedom of India. At that time tapan had only one dream to achieve freedom of our country so he tried in various different ways. But then in 1948 the Olympics is proclaimed and Tapan wanted to get a chance, taking revenge from the British. That is why Tapan, dreaming of plucking them on British soil, winning gold and dreaming of blowing his tricolor there. And this is the cost to fulfill this dream which is not easy. But Tapan has also decided – we are a crazy Bengali, we love hockey, love our country.
