Bacchanji was born in Allahabad, Utter Pradesh, on 11th October, 1942. He is a son of Late great Indian Awadhi dialect Hindi Poet, Harivansh Rai Shrivastav (Bachchan) and Kshtriya Punjabi Sikh, Teji Bachchan.
He is not only a best actor but is a good play back singer, best producer and the best television presenter also. ”Kaun Banega Crorepati” is a live example of his television representation, which is in a status of Season-9, at present time. He is a person, who failed three times in his life, came really on road and again makes himself a proved actor in Hindi Cine Industries. He is only Bollywood star who honored with India’s highest civilian awards, Padma Shri (1984), Padma Bhushan (2001) and Padma Vibhusan (2015) for his best acting style and presentation of arts. Even he was also honored by highest civilian honor, Knight of the Legion of Honor by Government of France in 2007.
He started is filmy career by a voice narrator in Mrinal Sen’s, Bhuvan Shome movie in 1969 and done his first acting role in film, Saat Hindustani. In 1971, he has done a best side role with Super star Rajesh Khanna in film Anand and got first best supporting actor Filmfare Award. After that, he worked many movies as a supporting, special appearance and even acting role but was successful in that.
1973 was his real entry in Bollywood. Director Prakash Mehra gave him Zanzeer opposite Pran Saheb and Jaya Bhaduri. In This movie Bacchanji got a new name and that was Angry Young Man. This Movie was block buster and broke all the box office records.
Amitabhji got married with famous film actress, Jaya Bhaduri and than he has given more one super hit movie named, Abhiman. Between 1975 to 1980, he has given more many hit movies like, Roti Kapda aur Makan, Majboor, Chupke Chupke, Sholay, The great gambler, Shan and Deewar. His movie, “SHOLAY” is a movie which earning was 60 Million Dollars and broke every record of Bollywood and create new history in Hindi cinema.
Bacchanji is a multi talented. He has prove him self every where.. as a playback singer he sung a song for Mr. Natwarlal and won the best male play back singer Filmfare award. “Rang Barse bheege chunar wali rang barse” “Me yahaa tu wahaa” these are few songs which sung by amitabhji.
In 1982, he was injured badly while shooting of COLLIE and it was a time, crores of his lovers were doing prayer for his long life, when he was in hospital. He took a break after this accident and entered in politics in 1984. He contested for Allahabad Lok Sabha seat against ex Chief Minister of U.P., Bahuguna and won by huge majority but after the allegations in Boforce Scandle, he decided to move out. He was proved clean in that case. Amar Singh from Samajwadi Party was his best friend at that time and he has also helped him to move out the debt of his company, ABCL.
In 1988, he returned towards Bollywood and done a best role in Shahenshah. Movie was super hit on box office. He got his first National Film Award in 1990, by the film AGNIPATH. Then again he got Filmfare award for movie, HUM. In 1997, his company ABCL was collapsed totally and a time comes where his bungalow, PRATIKSHA and his two flats were disposed off. However he tried to save his Pratiksha and he has done that also.
He entered again in Bollywood acting world and done the best role in Yash Chopra’s movie, Mohabattein with Shahruk Khan in 2000, again in 2001, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum, and in 2003, super hit movie, Baghban. He has worked in many more movies like, Paa, Picku, Sarkar, Aks and Black. Still he is working at the age of 74 years, successfully. He started Kaun Banega Crore Pati in 2000 and still it is super hit on SONY TV, season-9 is running.
Amitabh Bachchan is also an only star of Bollywood who honored by Honorary Doctorate degree by seven universities of world. There is also one temple in Calcutta, where he is worshiped as a GOD. He is having small family of Jaya Bachchan (Wife), Abhisek (Son & Actor) and Shweta (Daughter). His son Abhisek married with super hit film actress, Aishwarya Rai. He is a Brand Ambassador of Gujarat Toursim and famous for Khushbu Gujarat ki. He has also worked in many campaigns of various governments in India.
His dialogues, “Don ko pakadna Mushkil hi nahi, na mumkin hai”, Rishte me to hum tumhare bapp lagte hai nam hai Shainshah, words of Babu Mushai in Anand and Vijay Dinanath Chauan are so much famous in world.
Amitabh Bachchan is a best example for unsuccessful people in life. He has proved that, person can do anything at the age of any, and can be success also, if he wishes. Our great regards to our Big-B.
