Trailer ko kya mast response mila h yar.” Yes, it is very much true. Akshay’s film PADMAN’s trailer was released on Friday and now on today, just after two days, it got views on more than 20 million and tops the list of trending videos on You Tube. Not only that, this trailer got more than three lacs likes on You Tube also.
An inspiring tale of an incredible Indian innovator and inventor, PADMAN is a fictionalized account of Arunachalam Muruganantham’s life and traces his journey as a rural welder from small town India to the international arena, as he follows his dreams to bring a revolution to female hygiene in India. An entrepreneur who refused to give up in wake of in wake of resistance and ridicule and used his resilience and inventiveness to come up with India’s low cost sanitary napkins making machine. PADMAN is a tribute to every ordinary and simple man and woman, who dares to dream and make a difference in the life of million others.
Twinkle Khanna is producing PADMAN as part of her production firms Mrs. Funnybones Movies and R Balki direct Akshay Kumar in the movie. PADMAN also stars Sonam Kapoor and Rhea, who helps the protagonist reach out with his new invention, and Radhika Apte as the onscreen PADMAN’s wife, Gayatri. Amitabh Bachchan, who is the narrator in the trailer, also has a cameo in the film.
The subject of the movie and now its trailer is being widely hailed by the celebrities and netizens alike. Hrithik Roshan, Sridevi, Preity Zinta, and many others have highlighted that PADMAN’s release will lead to the beginning of conversation about menstruatual hygiene. Producer Twinkle Khanna speaking to IANS at an event, said, “Something that has been hidden in the darkness, furtively wrapped in newspaper, will finally be in the spotlight so that a young girl can go up to her parents and say that she needs sanitary pads over the ubiquitous fairness creams.”
This film is based on Twinkle Khanna’s book, “The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad”, which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a Tamilnadu base social activist, who revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India, by creating a low cost sanitary napkins machine. The story of this film is written by R Balki. Amit Trivedi Komail Shayan scored the music of the film, with the former composing the film score and latter composing the songs. This marvellous movie will release on 26th January, 2018, distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, in three languages of Hindi, English and Tamil.
The latest poster of this movie was released on 15th where Akshay is seen with cycling in the scorching heat looking all exhausted. The actor has nailed the ordinary man avatar. He is seen clad in a white shirt and beige pant with slippers.
