19th Mumbai Jio MAMI film festival with star is a space where, Amir Khan, Quentin Tarantino, Zhang Yimou, and Rajinikanth will all fill equally at home. The festival is run by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image popularly known as MAMI. The festival will includes the jury awards like, Golden Gateway Award for Best Film for the cost of 25,00,000, Silver Gateway Award for best Film for the cost of 15,00,000, A Special Jury award for the cost of 5,00,000 and Young Critics Award also. There are also awards for Dimension Mumbai, Audience Choice, Excellence in Cinema, and Book Awards for Excellence in Writing, Half Ticket Competition, and Oxfam Best Film on Gender Equality. John Madden will be Head of Jury with team of Celina Jade, Alexis Zabe, Konkona Sen sharma, and Santiago Mitre, for this festival.

This festival has many different parts like, India Gold, India History, International Competition, World Cinema, Spotlight, After Dark, Marathi Talkies, Rendezvous with French Cinema, Discovering India, Dimension Mumbai, Restored Classics, The New Medium, MAMI Tribute, JIO MAMI Contest Studio, Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films, and Half Ticket- the Hand of Friendship. Kiran Rao is a Chairperson of this festival with a trustee team of Neeta Ambani, Rohan Sippy, Anupama Chopra, Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar, Anand Mahindra, Retiesh Deshmukh, Vikramaditya Motwane, Ajay Bijli, Siddhartha Roy Kapoor, Isha Ambani, Manish Mundra, Zoya Akhtar, Vishal Bhardwaj, Deepika Padukone and Kaustubh Dhavse.

The festival had a record turnout this year. The seven days event from 12th to 18th October, 2017. Reliance Jio Info-comm Limited, a largest digital service company of India and a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited, is a presenting partner for this event. Star TV is associate partner, with supporting partners like, PVR Cinemas, JW Marriot, Book My Show, Turkish Airlines, Qube Wire, Maharashtra Government, and Seventy Event Media Group. New award partners for this event are, Oxfam India, Royal Stag and Reliance Foundation.
