Akshay Kumar is a first leading contemporary actor of Hindi Cinema who has broken all the records of Box office, income by crossing the collection of 2000 crores in 2013 and 3000 crores in 2016. He worked around 120 movies, in 27 years of filmy career and also get, India’s fourth Civilian award named, Padma Shri, by President of India in 2011. Bollywood calls him an Indian Khiladi Kumar, Jackie Chan because he is a super stunt master of Indian Cinema.
He is a black belt holder in Taekwondo and studies martial art in Bangkok and Thailand. He has also worked as a teacher of martial arts, when he comes back to Mumbai, India. He is also awarded by National Film Award in 2016 for Rustam and also won two Filmfare awards.
Just on 9th Sept 2017th he celebrated his 50th Birthday in Mumbai with his family and well wishers. On that day, his thousands of fans were present, out of his house, whole day playing games on names and characters of Akshay Kumar and his films. He was born in Amritsar, Punjab on 9th September, 1967. His father was working with United Nations and earlier in Indian Army. He has spent his childhood in area Chandni Chowk of Delhi. He has taken his education from Guru Nanak Khalsa College and earlier from Don Bosco School. He has also worked as a Chef & Waiter in Bangkok & also as an assistant photographer without salary in Mumbai. His original name is Rajiv Hariom Bhatia. In 1987, he got a chance to work as a martial art Instructor in film AAJ of Mahesh Bhatt. In this film, his face was not detected but the name of his role was Akshay and then he adopted that name in his filmy life later. He entered in Hindi cinema by the recommendation of Mr. Narendra Singh, who was a makeup artist.
He has entered in Hindi Cinema by his first film, Deedar, but his first release movie is Saugandh by Raj Sippy. In 1992 he was signed by Suspense Thriller Master Mr. Abbas and Mr. Mastan for his upcoming film which they were planing. They were looking for a new face who can do some fight scene also and caught him after watching his first Film. When they got Akshay kumar for lead role for movie KHILADI. This movie was hit on box office. After Abbas Mastan Movie he face some flops till next 2-3 years.. but he come with another action pack and comedy movie with name Main Khiladi tu Anadi. In this movie he played a Inspector role and is supporting actor was Saif Ali Khan. That Saif was doing struggle. This Sameer Malkan Directed Movie got very good response from audience.
Akshay Kumar once again came as a Inspector role in his next Movie “MOHRA” and this movei song “Tu Cheez Badi hai Mast Mast” performed by Akshay and Raveena Tandan was very popular. Mohra was a big hit for Khiladi Kumar. Later year he worked with Late Yash Chopra the Romance King or Bollywood Industry. He signed him for his new Movie Yeh Dillagi with Kajol. He got too much appreciation for his performance and also nominated as Best Actor for Filmare & Star Screen Awards.
Akshya’s life turning point come when he tried some experiment in his files and acting. He came with Director Priydarshan Movie “Hera Pheri” where we found a new Akshay kumar. it was a comedy movie where his co-star was Sunil Shetty and Paresh rawal. Men He is a much disciplined man in his personal life. Every day he sleeps before 10:00 PM and wakes up before 5:00 PM. For his own photo shoot, he has worked one and half year with one photographer Mr. Sheth in Mumbai without any salary.
He got his first modeling work for one furniture company. He has played roles by name of Raj Malhotra in his five movies, as Amitabh Bachhan was famous for the name, Vijay in his movies. He has never drink alcohol in his life, but he has worked as an ambassador of Signature brand and he has donate half income from this modeling. Akshay’s favorite film is “Life is Beautiful“, an Italian film. In 2009, when he got an award for most popular actor, he has dedicated this award to Amir Khan for his movie, Ghajini.
Once there was a time, when Akshay Kumar’s 16 movies were flopped back to back in Bollywood but he is a person, who is called as a one of the best actors now in India. His best movies are, Oh MY God, Rustam, Special 26, Rowdy Rathore, Airlift, Houseful-2, Gabbar is back, which can never be old anytime. In last, He has done a movie called, Toilet ek Prem Katha for branding of Prime Minister’s project and it’s became a super duper movie on box office also.
In personal life, he married with daughter of Indian first super star Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, called Twinkle and having two kids by her, named Arav and Nitara. He is not only money maker but he has donated crores of rupees for charity work. He is very well known as a successful son, Loving husband and protected father in Bollywood. He also owns a team of Kabbadi League.
